IP, Matt, Il Volo, Soup. PSW,

Just got a pop up ad for "Instant Pot Home made Wine". Really? Maybe I should look into it. I did and I think I will continue to buy wine from the liquor store, thank you.

Just a quickie tonight. Picked Matt up at 2:00 today, he was so very pleased to see me. Think he thought I had abandoned him. Once I got him home he didn't seem to remember he had been in hospital nor what had happened there.

We watched Il Volo as there was nothing on TV for us tonight. Matt absolutely enjoys them. So do I of course.

Basically threw some beans and veg in the Instant Pot to make 15 Bean Soup. Very tired this aft so slept and didn't make supper until a bit late. Jeopardy is now going through another tournament. Oh for some new stuff.

PSW coming at 7 in the morning. Regular guy was scheduled for 10 so I pitched a fit. Trying to keep Matt from dressing before 9 is hard enough. The 7 a.m. is temporary they tell me, it had better be. So, I'm off to bed.

Nightie Nightie.

Have a great day, stay well, stay safe.

  1. Sleep well - which I know you have been struggling with.
I am glad that Matt recovered from the hospital quickly, and do hope that you can get a reasonable PSW schedule set in place.

  2. One day back and you are already throwing a fit because of the scheduling of the PSW! I am sure they do their best to be where everyone would like them at a set hour, but if they have two clients with the same request they obviously have to disappoint one or the the other. Think of the tranquility of the past few days.

    1. Don't be so reasonable David. In fact the PSW came at 7 this morning and he wouldn't get up. Said he had had a bad night so she left.

  3. Instant pot wine has to be easier than the way my uncle made it when I was a kid. I still remember them coming back from the market with a pick-up full of grapes, sorting through the grapes, the big wheels in the basement and the casks... The stuff eventually tasted like medicine, lol, the old dago red. When I went to Europe in 1969 I found out that wine could taste good. Who knew?

I am imagining that if Matt goes into hospice for two weeks he won't remember that either.

    1. Yes, I would think so Denise. Had a neighbour, Portuguese, who made his own wine. It was very drinkable.

Not so much that he doesn't remember, but whilst he is there he isn't too happy.

  4. Maybe it's better Matt doesn't remember.
Wine in an InstaPot? Sounds like a lot of trouble.

    1. You are probably right Alex.

It does sound like a lot of trouble doesn't it?

  5. It's amazing how they don't remember something like this but they don't. I'm glad he was so happy to see you and that you had a nice evening. Let's hope the 7am will not be regular because that's crazy.

    1. No the guy came at 9 this morning, which is fine. He knows Matt too. Been coming a while. Mind you, Matt didn't want to get up at 8 and hasn't yet had his breakfast!!
