Bugs

Then I forgot to post this anyway.

The paragraph below is what I wrote to a friend on Sunday.

Meanwhile, back at our ranch, Matt mentioned blood spots on his sheets. This morning we stripped his bed and took off the mattress and box spring. Both of which are covered in a special bug proof cover. Only trouble is the one on the box spring is full of tears and rips and the bed bugs were having quite a few parties underneath the spring. To say I am teed off with the pest control people is to put it mildly. I ended up killing every bug I could find and spraying Diatomaceous earth everywhere and patched every hole I could find with duct tape. Bed clothes going through the laundry machines as we speak. Matt is totally unaware of being bitten. We don`t share a bed any more, boy am I glad. At the moment my bed is fine. Hopefully by tonight his will be too. Tomorrow I will be bitching at somebody, not sure who. The box spring cover they put on is absolutely useless. They put two on Matt’s bed but only one on mine. I sent for one from Amazon.ca and it is much better quality although cheaper than if I had bought covers from them. The one’s they used came free with the service. Ha Ha. So I am not a happy camper again.

That's it from me today, just not in the mood to do a proper blog.

Have a great day

  3. I cannot believe those damn bugs are back again. What the heck???? I'd be FURIOUS. Do you think they are escaping the noise and stuff from the balcony work?

    1. No JoJo. It's a bit involved, but they put these bug proof covers on the box spring and the bed which locks in anything which should happen to be there which presumably can include the bugs and their eggs. Even if only a few. However, the fact that the box spring bug cover is ripped all over the place means that they can escape and take up residence outside the cover and venture where they will if you don't know they are there. Hope you can understand my explanation.

  8. Hi Jo,

I'd also be fuming mad. As in a fumigator, fuming type mad. Not good to have to do a bug blog.

  9. You can't seem to win with the bed bug situation, can you. I hope you get at the least a replacement mattress cover. What on earth were they thinking to put on one with tears in it,

    1. Well, they had already taped some tears. They will probably swear the others happened since. The big problem is the cover is huge and the bed frame is metal so it gets ripped easily.
