Bowling Ball

For those of you who can't conceive the 5 pin ball, here is a picture of me holding mine. We have two each. They weigh about 3 lbs. No holes.

Have a great day

  1. I think you would have to be more skillful with these smaller balls. It would be fun to try them. You must have strong biceps, Jo.

    1. Nope, not particularly. It is harder to be accurate. I always find that with 10-pin I can knock some down every time without any problem and I don't play very often. Mind you its not as hard as it was originally I am told. Rules have changed slightly.

  2. Wouldn't mind bowling with the small ball, the larger ones always seemed too large for me. Might even get it all the way down the lane! LOL

    1. You have to remember we only have five pins though. I never had trouble getting a 10 pin ball all the way down, just being accurate. I always use an 8 lb though.

  3. I am not a bowler, I have bowled, a lot when I was younger, but I have no idea what kind of balling ball that is. I read your previous post too, and really, that just made it worse. What am I looking at? I don't understand the world where all bowling balls don't have multiple holes in them.

    1. It's a 5 pin ball Rusty. 5 pin is only played in Canada. Great game.

  4. Reminds me of the candle pin bowling ball. I much prefer 10 pin. I used to be on a league but I haven't bowled in probably 5 or 6 yrs. I love the colors of it tho. :-)

    1. I have two balls, we actually use three balls unless we get a strike or spare. If your ball doesn't return in time, you have to go with a house ball, there are always lots of balls on the rack. Never played candle pin, but 5 pin is exclusive to Canada and I think, losing out to 10 pin which is a great shame.

  5. But having a bowling ball without holes seems so hard though!

    1. Nope, you don't need one. A bunch of us tried the thumb hole one I mentioned in my last post and none of us liked it much at all.
