Merry Christmas Us

Matt fell down some of the steps (about 5 or so) at the bowling alley. After hours in the hospital, he has a broken bone in his foot and they have kept him in overnight until they feel he can manage crutches or a walker well enough not to do more damage.

Flaming parking was $14 had to send his meds to the hospital another $20 by cab, I couldn't face the trip back again at 11 pm. and poor Matt who won't be able to do much of anything for a while. They are scheduling a visit to the orthopaedic surgeon but it's Christmas they tell me!!!

Have a great day

  2. Wow. So sorry about that. He should consider himself lucky. My neighbor fell down four steps a few weeks ago. Ended up in ICU and has three broken ribs. Will be in therapy for several weeks.

  4. What awful luck! I hope he's not in too much pain and can manage. I know it's going to be a lot of work for you, so try and take time for yourself whenever you can.

    1. I don't think the pain is unmanageable now JoJo, thank goodness. Must admit I was exhausted and in pain after lunch because I had been grocery shopping in the morning etc. etc.

  5. Poor Matt. Having just acquired a similar injury I’m very sympathetic. Is he stuck with the huge and heavy cam boot I’ve been saddled with, at least for the next month?

    1. Well assume it's the same thing they call it an air boot here Helen but yes, huge and heavy. Goes to fracture clinic tomorrow so don't know what happens next.

  7. Oops. So sorry to hear about Matt's fall. I imagine you'll be kept on your toes looking after him for a few weeks. Hope he makes a speedy recovery and is mobile again before too long. Hope things pick up in 2018.
