Powerless

Lovely weekend, fog on Friday, fog on Saturday, freezing rain storm Sat/Sunday night, power off from around 5 a.m. til 5:15 p.m. so no real chance to write a blog. We spent Sunday huddling and trying to keep warm. Couldn’t shower – out bathrooms are windowless and anyway the hot water cooled pretty quickly, no coffee, no nothing. So sorry, no blog either.

Hope you have a better time of it than we did.

    Hi Jo .. the storm has made the news here - and I do hope life is not too uncomfortable in the next few days .. and power is restored. We're waiting for buckets of rain and gale force winds to hit .. well they're working their way up the coast .. mostly in the north I hope ..

      It's really bad in some areas, we are lucky it seems. According to the TV some people won't get power for Christmas. Hope your storm doesn't turn out too bad.

      Heat wave eh? Will be knocking on your door tomorrow. Actually looking at the TV this morning, we didn't do too badly compared with many areas. Can you imagine, no power for Christmas?

      Thanks Diane, it was a pretty miserable day. We are lucky though, we have power back now. Thousands still without and many without power right through Christmas.
