For a few days the Blogger Dashboard hasn’t been working properly, so Alex J. Cavenaugh uses Feedly, I decided, with his assistance, to use the same. I transferred all the names/URLs I needed and Wednesday morning started to use it. I then discovered Blogger Dashboard is working fine again now. However, I have Feedly all set up now so that’s a good thing.
Last night we went to a farewell do for our Superintendent and his wife. He is retiring because of ill health. At the same time we met the new Super and his wife, Bill and Peggy. I told Bill I was the Avon Lady and they want my card as they and family do order stuff now sand again. All new customers welcome. A friend from bowling asked me for an Avon book for a friend in her building. When I asked if they had an Avon rep she said no and perhaps I could provide books for her building. 19 floors she says. Hopefully I might get a few customers.
This one came from Cooking.com and I thought it looked pretty tasty. Anything with tomatoes is usually appealing to me. You know me, I would not use reduced fat mayonnaise.
Tomato and Basil Finger Sandwiches
Source: © EatingWell Magazine4 servings
A smear of reduced-fat mayonnaise and a little fresh basil allow perfectly ripe tomatoes to shine.
INGREDIENTS
4 slices whole-wheat bread
8 teaspoons reduced-fat mayonnaise, divided
4 thick slices tomato
4 teaspoons sliced fresh basil
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
DIRECTIONS
Cut bread into rounds slightly larger than your tomato—a biscuit cutter works well. Spread each slice with 2 teaspoons mayonnaise. Top with tomatoes, basil, salt and pepper.
Have a great day
HI Jo - gosh more challenges - still this lot seem to be fixed except for the bulb - forget Tuesdays .. sound good! I bought some asparagus yesterday .. as I thought it was over ... probably almost the last lot ... but still lovely to have. Those tomato and basil finger sandwiches look good .. cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteYeah, you can keep Tuesdays.
DeleteI think I may be able to buy one more batch - I hope.
Wow what a bad day you had!!!!! I'm glad the dashboard is working again b/c I have no idea how to follow all 62 blogs any other way.
ReplyDeleteWell Feedly does work JoJo. Maybe you should become a member there just in case.
DeleteWell, now you have two options for following blogs. Always a good thing.
ReplyDeleteAnd hopefully you're done now with Tuesday.
Yes I do Alex, and thanks so much for your help.
DeleteI hope so too.
I started using Feedly when Google shut down its reader. I've gotten to like it the more I use it. I like being able to follow any RSS or Atom feed regardless of its source, and the interface is nice, both on the Web and on the iPhone. Hope you like it!
ReplyDeleteHope to get to use it more, haven't had much chance since I started it. Thanks
DeleteThanks for the info about Feedly Jo - must check it out. Not all Wordpress blogs are showing up in my Blogger reader and it would be good to have a mobile app for reading as well as for blogging.
ReplyDeleteTry it Fil, seems good and if you have any problems, don't hesitate to ask.
DeleteThanks for the information about feedly. It is a good information for me.
ReplyDeleteEasy and healthy recipe!
You're welcome, I had a good source of help.
DeleteAnd tasty.
Your Tuesday sounds grim. Mine wasn't much better. Phone died, vacuum cleaner died and my daughter found out her quite young dog has untreatable lymphoma. May things improve for us both.
ReplyDeleteI think I would prefer my Tuesday. So sorry to hear about the dog. That would really be upsetting. You're right I hope things do improve especially for your daughter.
