Sa...Not to the idiots who want ivory unfortunately. Same as the people who want rhino horn for medication. We need to convince these people they don't need/want it. At the moment there is so much money in the trade its difficult to stop it.Johttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14087140585742801854noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2762107274389650601.post-4794219083708840132012-07-23T13:39:37.356-04:002012-07-23T13:39:37.356-04:00I shall be writing more about yarn bombing tomorro...I shall be writing more about yarn bombing tomorrow. I must say I thought this soup sounded great and as you say, very healthy.

Interesting about curing your horse this way. Must admit I don't eat apples a great deal, not my most favourite fruit.Johttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14087140585742801854noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2762107274389650601.post-63630572386745910432012-07-23T10:28:46.728-04:002012-07-23T10:28:46.728-04:00Killing elephants just for their tusks is stupid!Killing elephants just for their tusks is stupid!Alex J. I've seen it as tree cozies and on electric poles. Hmm.

That soup sounds great, actually. I have one I use with cabbage and I do put apple strips along with the veggies. Hubs and I usually do a few days every other month during the winter. During that time we also have fruits for breakfast or good quality juice--I make apple and carrot juice.

When my horse was so ill this past early winter, I used diced apples and carrots (you can also use fresh chopped broccoli which has one of the highest vitamin C contents as well as protein), thyme, fresh garlic, rosemary and blackstrop molasses in a mixture and hand fed him that with grains. Apples are a great natural antioxidant antibacterial source and probably why the old saying of an apple a day keeps the doctor away came about. :-) I will will say my vet was impressed especially when I explained why I used each of the ingredients. I've also used it with dogs.

Have a great day, Jo!

Sia McKye OVER COFFEE~Sia McKye~https://www.blogger.com/profile/08470562659597351033noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2762107274389650601.post-48695557618917399272012-07-23T09:08:52.446-04:002012-07-23T09:08:52.446-04:00Isn't it just.Isn't it just.Johttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14087140585742801854noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2762107274389650601.post-27460265378431457702012-07-23T09:00:13.405-04:002012-07-23T09:00:13.405-04:00Thanks for the recipe.
