Bowling, Shopping,

Made it to the bowling alley but boy did I wish I had the marijuana. I can manage with a team there as I have time for the pain to simmer down before I have to bowl again. I was quite pleased with my bowling again today. It was funny, our first game, we won by 1 point. Very close. However, the opposing team made up for it in the other two games. They are the first team so they are still ahead of us. It was by 2 points, assume it is now by 3. Of course it is possible someone else overtook us both, won't know til tomorrow.

Somehow I forgot to order our usual box of grape tomatoes so we had to pop in to the grocery store and buy one. Also got some raspberries and I will make a Pavlova for Saturday. Tomorrow will pick up some wine and sherry. I can order this if I want but the delivery isn't cheap.

One day in August gone, maybe 14 more to go. Keep your fingers crossed for me. Today has been a bad day.

I seem to be picking up Greek type recipes at the moment. I actually have never made meat balls but I have eaten the Greek version, known as Keftedes. The 'd' is soft like a 'th'. I think these might well cook in the air fryer too. It is recommended that you use fresh herbs to make this dish too.

Greek Meatballs

Flavorful and delicious, these Greek meatballs are super easy to make, melt in your mouth tender, and
will have everyone begging for seconds.

1 large onion grated
1 lb ground beef or lamb, or veal
1/4 cup parsley fresh, chopped
1/4 cup oregano fresh, chopped
1/4 cup mint fresh, chopped
2 cloves garlic minced
3/4 cup breadcrumbs I used Panko
1 large egg
1/2 tsp salt or to taste
1/2 tsp pepper or to taste
2 Tbs olive oil or vegetable oil, for frying
To Serve
Greek Salad
Tzatziki Sauce
pita bread

1. In a large bowl combine the grated onion, and the rest of the meatball ingredients (excluding olive oil) and mix well.

2. Form the meatballs into small 1 inch balls.

3. Heat the oil in a large skillet. Add the meatballs and fry until golden all around, about 7 minutes. You will have to do this in 2 batches, so do not overcrowd the meatballs.

4. Transfer onto a plate and serve either as appetizers or with Greek salad, tzatziki sauce and pita bread as an entree

Yield: 8

    1. Sadly, here, we are 1,000 miles from the nearest sea shore. I love Greek food too.

  3. Might have to ease back on the bowling. You'll have to let us know how well it works once you get your prescription.

    1. Not if I can help it Diane. Mind you the league has only two more weeks to go. Winter league starts in September. I certainly will let you know.
