Teppanyaki, Bowling, Puppy, Time.

Haven’t been to the Teppanyaki Bar yet, going for an early supper tonight. They seem to be incredibly busy, I could only get 5 in the evening although I could have got a lunch booking with no trouble however, our friends preferred a supper time visit. I suppose I could have booked for the following week but…
Bowling was cancelled again for this week as the renovations haven’t been completed. We are somewhat teed off about this but not much anyone can do. This means that when we do go back on August 6 it will be our last Summer League and will be for our banquet. We will be having Kentucky Fried for lunch. We haven’t had KFC for years and I have had a hankering for it lately. We will still be bowling after that but basically on our own.

We are going to meet Zoey, the puppy, next week on Friday. Her mistress will be giving me the first taste of local corn this summer. Matt not so keen.

They say as you get older time goes by much faster. It certainly seems to me that time is flying by. July only started the other day and now we are almost in to August. Impossible. Considering we haven’t done a lot it’s surprising that it has passed so quickly.

I love stuffed peppers and like the idea of doing them in the slow cooker especially at this time of year. Trust Kraft to come up with something easy. My next question, I wonder if they freeze?

  1. Hi Jo - enjoy the bowling and the various meals - but the peppers sound delicious .. however the star turn of the day will be meeting Zoey by the sound of it ... have fun walking or playing with her .. this year we seem to be able to get corn: last year I really struggled, except at an exorbitant price .. I love the stuff fresh from the cob!

    Cheers Hilary

    1. When we were in the UK I don't remember being able to get fresh corn at all. Here it's all over the place in the summer.

  3. This summer has gone by fast. Why is it that the awful hot/humid ones never end but the nice ones fly by?! Can't wait to see pics of Zoey!

    1. Odd isn't it how we perceive time differently according to what is happening.

Will see what I can do.

  8. I've frozen them before and they've done fine. I just had KFC last week. Got the grilled chicken breast. It was really good.

Why does time go by so quickly? I swear, my kids were in car seats for like a decade and in their teens for a week. Sigh. Summer ending always brings on the doldrums a bit.

  9. Hi Jo,

Ah yes, KFC, they are in lots of locations over here. All those secret herbs and spices. I note the brand name Kraft. You may well know that Kraft bought out Cadbury's. This might lead to Kraft chocolate macaroni dinners. What a thought and yuck!

    Cheers, Jo.

  11. I noticed time accelerating during my senior year of high school. The acceleration is still accelerating too! And KFC? Love it! I get the hankering for it every few months. Their drumsticks and biscuits are good eating.
